Eric Blocher, President

Eric Blocher is indulging his passions for Healthcare, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in International Development Studies, Eric spent several years in China, building communications infrastructure for companies in cross-cultural markets. He is excited to be working with an enormously talented team to help provide UNC Kenan-Flagler students with the best possible preparation for leadership in the healthcare industry.

Alejandra Chavez, VP of Corporate Relations

Alejandra Chavez is pursuing a double concentration in healthcare and consulting. Prior to pursuing a MBA, she worked in healthcare and higher education in Colorado. She has also been involved in pro-bono consulting projects with companies in Ecuador, Bolivia, and Ghana. She graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Sociology. Alejandra is originally from Ecuador. She enjoys horseback riding and traveling.

Drew Adams, VP of Learning & Development

Drew Adams is studying both operations and healthcare. Prior to UNC, Drew studied chemistry at the University of Rochester and worked as a chemist at a pharmaceutical company in Cambridge, MA. Drew greatly appreciates the warmer weather of the south, but misses attending hockey games all winter.

Thalia Boozell, VP of Communications

Thalia grew up in Mexico City and later moving to NC for her high school education. She attended Appalachian State University where she was pre-med and received a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Prior to business school, she worked for an auto finance company in Dallas, TX that specialize in subprime lending. Looking to enter the healthcare industry, she decided to pursue an MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler to make the career switch into marketing. After her MBA, Thalia intends to work in pharmaceutical marketing.

Phil Paradise, VP of Student Engagement

Phil Paradise is pursuing his MBA as a General Management concentrator with an Enrichment in Healhcare. Prior to Kenan Flagler, Phil worked at Google for 4 years in both business and product development. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in International & Area Studies and Public Health.

Kyle Peterson, VP of Finance

Kyle Peterson is pursuing general management and an enrichment concentration in healthcare. Prior to pursuing an MBA, he worked in a finance role for Change Healthcare, a healthcare IT firm based in Nashville, TN. Kyle also worked as an investment banking analyst at Avondale Partners before joining Change Healthcare. He graduated from Rhodes College in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Economics while playing varsity baseball.

Katie Weeks, Healthcare Conference Director

Katie Weeks is pursuing a concentration in operations and an enrichment in healthcare. Prior to pursing an MBA she spent six years in management consulting, implementing cost reduction and process improvement initiatives within healthcare and human capital. She graduated from Harvard University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Economics.

Sadhana Chunduri, VP of University Engagement

Sadhana Chunduri has worked in public sector healthcare for 5 years, including time with the National Institutes of Health, Ashoka, and grassroots nonprofits. Her work has included research, implementation and impact investing in health promotion with American youth and HIV-positive patients. She holds an MPH from The George Washington University. Sadhana is getting her MBA at Kenan-Flagler to learn how to bridge public and private sector healthcare globally to promote the accessibility and affordability of healthcare.

Danielle Moita-Robles, VP of Alumni Engagement

Danielle Moita-Robles grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and completed her undergraduate degree at Winthrop University. Danielle is a registered dietitian and she holds a master’s degree in health from University of West Florida. Prior to Kenan-Flagler, Danielle worked for the Women, Infants, and Children Program in the State of New Jersey serving underprivileged populations at nutritional risk. In her free time, Danielle enjoys playing tennis, cycling, and spending time with her family. Danielle will be joining Pfizer as a marketing intern for her summer internship.

Mona Xiao, Healthcare Conference Director

Mona Xiao is pursuing a concentration in operations and an enrichment in healthcare. Prior to pursuing a dual MD/MBA she worked at Epic doing project management on the EHR’s oncology module. She is currently also involved in UNC’s multidisciplinary student-run free clinic, SHAC (Student Health Action Coalition), as a volunteer and director. She graduated from Duke University in 2012 with a BS in Neuroscience and Evolutionary Anthropology. She plans to pursue a residency in Family Medicine post-graduation.

Tanyi Fuoching, VP of Entrepreneurship &Innovation

Tanyi Fuoching is pursuing general management and entrepreneurship in healthcare. He is a Deans Fellow and an Adams Apprentice exploring business in emerging markets. Prior to pursuing an MBA, Tanyi worked at Northwestern Mutual in multiple areas including software development, internal IT consulting and data analytics consulting. He also co-founded and ran a part-time business providing web design, web hosting and email hosting services. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 2004 with a BBA in Management Computer Systems. Tanyi is originally from Cameroon, Central Africa. He enjoys long distance running (completed 5 marathons), traveling, movies, and music.
